Xiao Long Bao, also called soup dumplings or XLB, are delicate dumplings filled with savory broth and meat before being steamed. At Ugly Dumpling, every Xiao Long Bao is handcrafted fresh daily in our Bao Lab and available in six signature flavors.

Traditional dumplings are filled with meat or vegetables, while soup dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) also contain rich, savory broth inside the wrapper. The broth is created during the steaming process, making every bite flavorful and unique.

Place the soup dumpling on a spoon, gently bite a small opening in the wrapper or pierce it with your chopsticks, sip the flavorful broth, then enjoy the rest of the dumpling with your favorite sauce. This traditional method helps you enjoy the hot broth without burning your mouth.

There are six soup dumpling flavors: Pork, Chicken, Pork & Crab, Pork & Truffle, Pork–Shrimp & Spinach, and Szechuan Pork. If you want to try them all, order the Ugly Dumpling Sampler, which includes one of each flavor.
